Not Me! Monday

Not Me! Monday is a blog carnival hosted by MckMama at My Charming Kids.net. It's all about sharing things that we "didn't" do this past week--but REALLY DID. Here goes:

I did NOT stay home every day last week! No shopping. Nothing. Not until Saturday, that is. We went out Saturday (only the worst day of the week to shop because of crowds!) and bought groceries. I do love staying home, though, so I have no complaints.

I am NOT very happy that Isaac (our almost three year old) is potty trained! He did not have about seven "accidents" the first day, but get better everyday after that! Yay! No more Pull Ups! On a funny note....I do NOT laugh out loud when he 'names' his poop, and says, "There's mommy, there's Isaac!!!" In the toilet!!! I am NOT cracking up laughing as I write this!!

I am NOT really enjoying learning about web design. Nope, not me! I have not found several great websites that are helping me along, but there is SO much to learn when you know so little. I'm looking forward to getting a chance to go to school, but I wish I had someone to mentor me in this area now.

I am NOT happy to finally have met a homeschooling goal last week! Spelling Tests! I want the kids to be good spellers, and I've been wanting to add spelling tests (on Fridays) into our weekly workload but just hadn't. I knew I would need to think of a little incentive to get the kids to study for their spelling test and do a good job, so, I thought about their personalities and what they might like. We decided Nathan (9yr. old) would get to play a few extra games of Wii, and Breanna (7yr. old) would get to do a crafty project or cook something with me once a week. I'm happy to report that they both did pretty well for the first week, and I'm all ready with a new list for next week!

Isaac has NOT decided that he likes to take pictures with our camera.....I am NOT a little nervous about this....=/
