I know I'm very late in getting my Super Savings Saturday post up, but better late than never! I ventured out of the house today with three sick kids. I really needed to get some essentials so sick or not, we went out.
We went to Walmart and Target, and I think we did pretty well. It did take us over three and a half hours altogether, but that's what usually happens when I shop with kids. We had to stop for a bathroom break. I had to stop to feed the baby twice. And my fun little 2yr. old likes to find all kinds of ways to slow us down (trying to climb out of the cart, taking off his shoes, grabbing at things, asking for donuts, suckers, etc....).
Anyway, at Walmart I picked up some things we needed and I found a bottle of Spray n Wash Max White with a "TRY ME FREE" hang tag PLUS I had a $0.50 coupon from the 6/14 Smart Source insert! That means it was free plus $0.08 profit after postage. Be on the look out for these at your local Walmart and elsewhere.
At Target I spent $38.28 on $78.31 worth of groceries. That's 51% savings! I had about $18 in coupons which helped out a lot. I'm happy with the savings, and I'm really enjoying getting a bigger portion of my grocery shopping done at Target when they have great deals. I was not up to taking a picture after we got home! Sorry. I had a crying baby to tend to and a hungry family so maybe next time.
I hope you all had a great 4th of July holiday!
